to common questions
For elopements and weddings, I would highly suggest reaching out as soon as possible after setting your date.
With that being said, as long as I am available on your date, you can book at any time. I try to always keep my availability updated on an instagram highlight!
I will travel as far as your love wants to go! Traveling is one of my biggest passions so no matter what location you have in mind, I probably want to shoot there just as bad as you want your photos!
For out-of-state and international bookings, I have destination packages with all travel fees included. Be sure to check out the travel dates on my website!
Absolutely! I love getting to know my couples a little bit before we shoot together. It helps everybody relax a bit once you’re finally in front of the camera.
I’m more than happy to meet you for a coffee or brewery date to chat a bit before your big day! We can also schedule a phone call to go over all of the details if you’ll be visiting from out of town.
For sure! I can give recommendations for any vendor you’re looking for. I’m lucky to have a great working relationship with so many wedding vendors all over the world and I will never recommend someone that I wouldn’t trust to use myself!
NO. Couples sessions are for casual shoots and engagements only. I’m happy to create a custom elopement package if needed, but anything wedding related cannot be booked as a couples session. Entirely different gear and preparation is needed for elopements and weddings vs. casual sessions, and I think we all would prefer that I show up for your day fully prepared.
While I can’t guarantee a specific amount of photos for each session, I do typically deliver around 60 photos for each hour of shooting. Keep in mind that these numbers will depend on the flow of the session and your final gallery may have more or less than stated here.
Of course! Location scouting is one of my favorite things about this job. I love finding unique locations and hidden gems for my clients! I can also help with any permits that may be required for shooting.
Already have your dream location in mind? Awesome! I’ll do all of the research for you so we can all know what to expect when we arrive.
YES! I will always recommend shooting right around sunrise or sunset. This is the only time of day that you’ll be able to get that dreamy golden hour glow in your photos, which is what most people want. It also helps avoid harsh shadows and lighting (trust me, it makes a big difference). If you’re okay with the early wake-up call for a sunrise shoot, it also helps avoid any crowds if we’re shooting in a popular location.
But, with that being said, we can absolutely shoot at any time of day if those times don’t work for you. I’m confident shooting in any lighting situation, even in the dark! Just expect the lighting in your photos to be a little less *dreamy*.
Stick to your everyday style! Just wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. You’ll definitely want to be able to move around in whatever you wear, and if you’re extremely uncomfortable during the shoot.. that will show in your photos! Choose something that works best for you and how you like to express yourself.
I am currently taking bookings for couples, elopements, and weddings (including destination bookings). For me, the most important part of my job is the relationship that I create with my couples and the experience that I can provide for them. This is why I’m only taking bookings for shoots that really allow me to focus on that. I am not currently taking bookings for family or senior sessions.
All couples will receive a sneak peek gallery within a few days. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the full gallery to be delivered. Please know that this is only an estimate, and no official delivery date can be promised, to ensure that the editing of your photos is not rushed. All galleries are edited in order, and I want to give every single one of your photos the time and attention that they deserve!
YES! I understand that payment plans can make things so much easier and I’m super open to working with all couples on this. Be sure to mention this before booking so we can set up a plan that works best for you.
Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes IF you are willing to work with me and have a little trust. Candid, storytelling type photos require us to work together. I can guide you into tons of different poses and positions but only you can provide the emotion and movements behind it all. Some couples just aren’t ever fully relaxed enough in front of the camera to really have those candid moments AND THAT’S OKAY, we will still get tons of great photos. But, in order to actually have those cute, candid little in-between moments captured, you need to allow your personalities to shine and just be yourselves. Remember that candid photos are NOT POSED. If I put you into a “pose” and you just naturally feel like moving into a kiss, moving your partner’s hair out of their face, or doing something to make your partner giggle, DO IT. If we’re in between prompts or walking to the next location, just continue interacting with each other. That is what will get you the cute candid style photos!
I require a 30% retainer in order to book with me. This retainer is non-refundable. Don’t worry, I’m really flexible with rescheduling! As long as we can find another date that works for both of us, rescheduling is no problem.
Nope. I’ll never send unedited RAW files. A RAW image file is an unfinished piece of art and it does not accurately represent me or my business. I pour my soul into editing, please trust my creativity.
I want you to choose me as your photographer because you love my work, and because you trust that I can make it a great experience for you. I genuinely care about your photos (and documenting your most special moments!) just as much as you do. I always do everything that I can to make sure that my couples are comfortable and having fun during our sessions (even chaotic wedding days!) and I never deliver work that I don’t personally feel is top quality.
Send a message today and see if you think we’ll be a good fit!
